    Farm TOMITA

    The lavender that fills the entire field is so vivid it will take your breath away. There are many types of flower fields in the large garden, so you can enjoy the beautiful flowers to your heart’s content. There are also shops selling lavender goods such as potpourri and perfume, and cafes, so it is recommended to take a relaxing break while looking at the flowers. Lavender blooms early from late June to mid-August, but you can also enjoy visiting in seasons other than summer, such as in the greenhouses where lavender and geraniums bloom beautifully.

    「Farm TOMITA」Recommended spots

    1. Irodori Field

    This flower field is representative of Farm Tomita, and in addition to the purple of lavender, white baby’s breath, red poppies, pink komachisou, orange California poppies, etc. are in full bloom. The best time to see them is usually from mid to late July, and the beauty of the rainbow spreads across the ground.

    2. Sakiwai Field

    Four types of lavender (Yotei, Noshihayasaki, Okamurasaki, Hanamoiwa) are planted, allowing you to enjoy the gradation of purple. There is also a stream and poplar trees lined up in the garden, making it a great place for a stroll.

    3. Lavender East

    Located about 4km east of Farm Tomita, this is one of the largest lavender fields in Japan. The opening period for 2025 is from Saturday, June 28th to Monday, July 21st, with the best time to see the lavender in mid-July. https://www.farm-tomita.co.jp/en/east/

    Notes

    • The shop area is inspired by the covered arcades of France, called “passages.” You can enjoy flower fields and shopping without worrying about strong sun or sudden rain.
    • This place has roots as a lavender farm originally growing the plant as a specialty crop. It also shares the story of lavender as an agricultural product, the history of Farm Tomita, and how lavender became part of Furano’s culture.

    ファーム富田

    畑一面を埋め尽くすラベンダーは、思わずため息が出そうなほどの鮮やかさ。広い園内にはたくさんの種類の花畑があり、美しい花々と思う存分触れ合うことができます。ポプリや香水などのラベンダーグッズを販売するショップやカフェなどもあるので、お花を眺めながらのんびり休憩するのもおすすめ。ラベンダーの開花時期は早咲きの6月下旬から遅咲きの8月中旬までですが、ラベンダーやゼラニウムなどが美しく咲き誇る温室など、夏以外の季節に訪れても楽しめます。

    「ファーム富田」おすすめスポット

    1. 彩りの畑

    ファーム富田を代表する花畑で、ラベンダーの紫に加え、白のカスミソウ、赤のポピー、ピンクのコマチソウ、オレンジのカリフォルニアポピーなどが咲き誇ります。例年7月中旬から下旬に見頃を迎え、まるで虹のような美しさが広がります。

    2. 倖（さきわい）の畑

    4種類のラベンダー（ようてい、濃紫早咲、おかむらさき、はなもいわ）が植えられており、紫のグラデーションが楽しめます。園内の小川やポプラ並木もあり、散策に最適です。

    3. ラベンダーイースト

    ファーム富田から東に約4kmの場所にある、日本最大級のラベンダー畑です。2025年の営業期間は6月28日（土）から7月21日（月）までで、7月中旬が見頃です。

    4. グリーンハウス（温室）

    冬季でもラベンダー（濃紫早咲やデンタータラベンダーなど）や色とりどりの花々を楽しめる温室です。冬の訪問でも花の鑑賞が可能です。

    Sea urchin

    Shakotan Town, where Shimabuki Coast is located, is famous for sea urchins. Summer is the peak season for sea urchin fishing, and it’s the best season to enjoy “seasonal sea urchin rice bowls.”

    うに丼

  • The application of travel industry registration submitted✅ (Sept. 26th, 2024)

    After receiving the approval on the membership in All Nippon Travel Agents Association on September 25th, we have　applied to the Hokkaido Government for travel agency registration.
    Currently, we are a travel land operator, but if we are registered as a travel agency, we will be able to expand the scope of our business and serve more customers.
    Hope our registration will be complete soon.
    I learned several other companies will applied and it would take about 10 to 14 days.
    We are looking forward to receiving the registration notification. (Kaori, September 27, 2024)

  • 旅行業登録申請完了✅(2024/09/26)

    無事承認されました😆

    全国旅行業協会への入会が9/25に承認されて、晴れて北海道庁に旅行業登録の申請をしてきました。
    事前に提出書類をチェックいただいたので、書類提出はものの5分で終了。
    スムーズに登録がされるよう願っています。
    現在は旅行サービス手配業ですが、旅行業として登録されれば、業務の幅も広がってより多くのお客様をご案内できます。
    早く登録完了の通知が来ないかな。
    他にも申請される企業さんがあり、10〜14日くらいかかる見込みとのこと。登録通知が届くのが楽しみです。（2024/09/27 髙松）

    　

    ＊赤レンガ（道庁旧本庁舎）は現在修復工事中。2025年7月25日リニューアルオープンだそうで。
    9/26の朝はこんな感じでした。鐘楼が緑ではないので以前と違う印象ですね。銅本来の色です。

  • Daisetsuzan: Full of autumn leaves 🍁 and the first snow ☃️

     The Daisetsuzan Mountain Range is crowded with many hikers during the autumn leaves season.
    On Saturday, September 21st, when we traversed from Mt. Akadake to Mt. Kurodake, the coldest air of the season hit, and the summit of Mt. Kurodake seen from the foot was covered with a light layer of snow.When we started climbing from Mt.Akadake Ginsendai, the mountain trail was covered with frost pillars on pines and on the sides of the trail. (The thermometer installed at Komakusa-daira (altitude 1842m) is "2.4°C"😱)
    




    




    




    The leaves may have become even more beautiful and colorful due to the cold weather. As the name suggests, the slopes of Mt. Akadake are dazzling red, and I enjoyed the beauty of the topography along the way from Mt. Hokkaidake to Kurodake-Ishimuro of Mt. Kurodake.
    As looking back on the way to Mt. Kurodake, you will begin to understand why it is called Kamuymintara ('The Playing Garden of the Gods' in the Ainu language).

    Until September 29th (Sunday), private cars are prohibited in the Ginsendai and Kogenuma areas, and shuttle buses are in operation.

    Regarding vehicle traffic regulations during the autumn leaves season (Kamikawa Town HP)

    Total cost of 1,750 yen (including 250 yen donation) from Sounkyo to Lake Site to Ginsendai. If you can gain altitude up to 1500m with the convenience of civilization, it's not bad at all. The way down Mt. Kurodake is of course by lift and ropeway. Total 2,000 yen.
    The first shuttle bus from Sounkyo to Ginsendai via Lake Site in the morning (no transfers on this bus) had a long line at the bus stop (especially Lake Site).
    




    




    Please be sure to wear mountain climbing shoes and other cold weather protection(fleece, down, overpants, hats, etc.). Even with gloves on my fingertips felt cold at the beginning of the climb and near the summit.

    Portable toilets are also recommended. This time the activity time is about 8 hours. There is a bio-toilet in the Kurodake Ishimuro, but Kurodake Ropeway posted on SNS saying that the bio-toilet was full and could not be used (Sept. 23rd). They are sold at visitor centers and shops at Mt. Kurodake, Mt. Asahidake, and Ginsendai. (About 500 yen) https://www.instagram.com/kurodakeropeway/ (Kurodake Ropeway)

    I don't think bears will come out to approach the areas with many visitors, but please be careful. We better to keep in mind not leave anything of food or snacks during trekking.

    大雪山は紅葉真っ盛り🍁 そして雪も☃️
    
			
    

    初冠雪に紅葉。
    




    大雪山連峰は紅葉の時期を迎えて多くのハイカーで賑わってます。
    




    




    我々が赤岳から黒岳にかけて縦走した9月21日（土）、今期一番の寒気が入り麓から眺める黒岳山頂はうっすら雪化粧し、赤岳銀泉台から登り始めると登山道は霜柱が登山道脇やハイマツにびっしりでした。（コマクサ平（標高1842m）先に設置された温度計は「2.4°C」😱）
    




    




    冷え込んだおかげで紅葉はさらに美しく色を増したのかもしれません。その名の通り赤岳の斜面は赤が眩しく、北海岳から黒岳石室への道中は地形の造形美と共に堪能してきました。
    石室から黒岳山頂の道中は振り返ると「カムイミンタラ（アイヌ語で「神々の遊ぶ庭」）と呼ばれる理由がわかる気持ちになります。

    この季節多くのハイカーが訪れます。9/29（日）まで銀泉台、高原沼方面はマイカー規制が実施され、シャトルバスが運行されています。
    




    紅葉期の車両交通規制について　（上川町HP）
    層雲峡〜レイクサイト〜銀泉台で協力金250円を含めて合計1,750円。文明の利器で1500mまで標高を稼げるなら安いもんです。ちなみに黒岳の下りはもちろんリフト＆ロープウェイ。合計2,000円。
    




    朝一番の層雲峡およびレイクサイトのシャトルバス（この便のみ乗換無し）は乗り場に行列ができていました（特にレイクサイト）。
    




    




    登山靴はもちろん防寒対策をバッチリでお出かけください。（フリース、ダウン、オーバーパンツ、帽子など）手袋をしても登り始めや山頂付近では指先が冷たくなりました。
    携帯トイレもおすすめします。今回活動時間8時間。黒岳石室にバイオトイレがありますが、本日（9/23）バイオトイレが満杯となり使用できないとSNSで投稿されていました。ビジターセンターや黒岳、旭岳、銀泉台などの売店で販売されています。（500円くらい）https://www.instagram.com/kurodakeropeway/ (黒岳ロープウェイ）
    




    大渋滞のところはクマさんもわざわざ寄ってこないと思いますが、ヒグマにも十分ご注意くださいね。お食事の後始末や行動食のごみなど気をつけたいものです。

    Time flies! 
    A month has passed since the Kitahiro Office opened.
    We’ve been busy preparing to register as a travel agency.
    A friend gifted a potted plants to congratulated us, saying, “I couldn’t make it in time for the opening, but…”
    “Aglaomane Maria.”
    It’s the name of her.  
    It doesn’t take much to look after, but seems to replant it in a bit larger pot within a month. 
    Let’s take a good care of her so that it can be a long-lasting friend to give us relaxation in the office.

    きたひろ事務所オープンして一ヶ月が経ちました。
    旅行業登録の準備で慌ただしく過ごしてあっという間です。
    そんな時に「オープンには間に合わなかったけど…」と、友人よりお祝いをいただきました。
    ありがたいことです。
    このこのお名前は
    「アグラオマネマリア」さん。
    お世話にはおまり手間はかからないそうですが、来月にはもう少し大きな鉢に植え替えてあげた方が良いとのこと。
    オフィスの癒しとして長くお付き合いできるようにお世話しましょ。（髙松）
